Non-symmetric Jacobi and Wilson Type Polynomials
Consider a root system of type BC1 on the real line R with general positive multiplicities. The Cherednik-Opdam transform defines a unitary operator from an L-space on R to a L-space of C-valued functions on R with the Harish-Chandra measure |c(λ)|dλ. By introducing a weight function of the form cosh(t) tanh t on R we find an orthogonal basis for the L-space on R consisting of even and odd func...
متن کاملNon-symmetric Hall–littlewood Polynomials
Using the action of the Yang–Baxter elements of the Hecke algebra on polynomials, we define two bases of polynomials in n variables. The Hall–Littlewood polynomials are a subfamily of one of them. For q = 0, these bases specialize to the two families of classical Key polynomials (i.e., Demazure characters for type A). We give a scalar product for which the two bases are adjoint to each other.
متن کاملThe Associated Askey-wilson Polynomials
We derive some contiguous relations for very well-poised 8<^7 series and use them to construct two linearly independent solutions of the three-term recurrence relation of the associated Askey-Wilson polynomials. We then use these solutions to find explicit representations of two families of associated Askey-Wilson polynomials. We identify the corresponding continued fractions as quotients of tw...
متن کاملSymmetric Jack Polynomials from Non–symmetric Theory
In (1.2) mκ(z) is the monomial symmetric function in the variables z1, . . . , zN , and the sum is over all partitions μ which have the same modulus as κ but are smaller in dominance ordering. The polynomials Pκ possess a host of special properties, and in fact form the natural basis for a class of symmetric multivariable orthogonal polynomials generalizing the classical orthogonal polynomials ...
متن کاملSymmetric and Non-symmetric Macdonald Polynomials
The symmetric Macdonald polynomials are able to be constructed out of the non-symmetric Macdonald polynomials. This allows us to develop the theory of the symmetric Macdonald polynomials by first developing the theory of their non-symmetric counterparts. In taking this approach we are able to obtain new results as well as simpler and more accessible derivations of some of the known fundamental ...
